What is it?
The Weaving Strength Initiative helps neighbors in North Mecklenburg strengthen their connections and community support. It brings people together to share skills, build trust, and find out about resources and services that can help them stay healthy. It’s about making sure everyone feels welcome, supported, and connected.
Why Now?
Our county continues to grow and change. Many people in our community face health problems like diabetes and high blood pressure. Some neighbors don’t have the same access to support, information and resources. Our neighborhoods are full of people with talents, stories, and care to share. By working together, we can build trust, share knowledge, and make sure everyone feels like they belong.
